PA1-654A detects Lamp1 from human samples.
PA1-654A has been successfully used in immunofluorescence procedures. In immunofluorescence procedures, this anitbody stains Lamp1 in HeLa cells resulting in perinuclear staining.
The PA1-654A immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues C K(407) R S H A G Y Q T I(416) of human LAMP1. This region is completely conserved between human, mouse and rat.
Figure 1 shows Immunofluorescence staining of Lamp1 (red) in HeLa cells using PA1-654A. |
Lysosomes are membrane-bound vacuoles which play a critical role in cellular metabolism. These organelles participate in endocytosis, the synthesis and assembly of acid hydrolases, act as sites for digestion of foreign materials and for specialized autolytic cellular processes. Membrane-associated glycoproteins have an important role in normal lysosomal function. Lamp1, also known as lysosome associated membrane protein 1, is a heavily glycosylated membrane protein of the lysosome. It contains a putative signal peptide, 18 sites for N-linked glycosylation, a single membrane-spanning segment and a short (11 amino acid) cytosolic tail. |
