| PA1-41255 detects Nuclear Receptor Interacting Protein in canine, human, rat and murine samples. PA1-41255 has been successfully used in Western blot applications. The PA1-41255 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues 800-850 of human NRIP. |
| General Information |
| NRIP is a novel 860a.a nuclear protein consisting of seven conserved WD40 domains and one NLS motif. It binds to androgen and glucocorticoid receptors and up regulates their transcriptional activity, thereby functioning as a nuclear receptor coactivator. Role of NRIP has been implicated in cell growth and also in cervical and prostrate cancer thus indicating a therapeutic intervention. Northern Blot analysis detected a high expression of NRIP in skeletal muscle and testis and low expression in heart, prostrate and adrenal gland. |
