Product Specific Information
PA1-4124 detects MCT-1 in mouse samples. PA1-4124 has been successfully used in Western blot procedure. By Western blot this antibody detects a ~20 kDa protein representing MCT-1 in transfected 3T3 cells. The PA1-4124 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues K(3) K F D E K E N V S N C(14) of the 20 kDa MCT-1. Figure 1 illustrates Western blot detection of MCT-1 from transfected 3T3 cells using PA1-4124.
General Information
MCT-1 is a novel gene that was identified from T-cell leukemia/lymphoma cell lines with limited homology to a region of Cyclin H. MCT-1 is a novel candidate oncogene that results in a shortened G1 phase and increased rate of proliferation.
