Product Specific Information
PA1-37067 detects alpha PAK (molecular weight 65 kDa) from human, mouse, and rat samples. PA1-37067 has been successfully used in immunohistochemistry (paraffin) and Western blot applications. Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10 minutes followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes. The PA1-37067 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to the amino acids 525-545 of rat alpha PAK.
General Information
Alpha PAK p68, beta PAK p65 and gamma PAK p62 are three isoforms of serine/threonine kinases. These three isoforms complex specifically with Rac1 and Cdc42 in their active GTP-bound state, inhibiting their intrinsic GTPase activity leading to their autophosphorylation.
