Product Specific Information
PA1-37002 detects 14-3-3 beta from human samples. This antibody is expected to react with rat and murine samples based on sequence homology. PA1-37002 has been successfully used in immunohistochemistry (paraffin), Western blot and immunoprecipitation applications. Antigen retrieval requires boiling of tissue sections in 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10 minutes followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes. Suggested positive controls for this product are NIH/3T3 cells and brain. The PA1-37002 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to the N-terminal residues of human 14-3-3 beta. The molecular weight is 30 kDa.
General Information
At least 7 mammalian isoforms comprise the 14-3-3 family of signaling intermediates. 14-3-3 molecules are highly conserved, expressed in a broad range of tissues and cell types and were first discovered as a series of highly abundant proteins in brain tissue. There is increasing evidence that 14-3-3 proteins are critical to cell transformation and mitotic signaling.
