Product Specific Information
PA1-20720 detects BAI3 in human samples. PA1-20720 has been successfully used in immunohistochemistry (paraffin) procedures. The PA1-20720 immunogen is a synthetic peptide, conjugated to KLH, corresponding to the C-terminal domain of human BAI3.
General Information
BAI1, a p53-target gene, encodes brain-specific angiogenesis inhibitor, a seven-span transmembrane protein and is thought to be a member of the secretin receptor family. Brain-specific angiogenesis proteins BAI2 and BAI3 are similar to BAI1 in structure, have similar tissue specificities and may also play a role in angiogenesis. BAI3 has been reported primarily in the brain, but is also localized to lung, testis, and pancreas.
