"I work with GnRH receptors and am often frustrated by the lack of reliable antibodies for in vitro analyses. Thus, I decided to develop my own serum raised against chicken GnRH receptor-2 using the BioPerformancePlus Plan from ABR-Affinity BioReagents. The procedure was initiated rapidly following 3 easy steps: send ABR the protein sequence; decide which recommended peptide to use; and place the order. Since the immunoglobulins were affinity purified, the specificity and sensitivity of the antibodies was fairly high for a polyclonal. I now routinely use this serum for western blot and immunocytochemistry analyses, and am looking forward to generating additional antibodies.
